Infy campus

Hello blogger or googller – you might be wondering that in this piece of information you are going to read a lot on Infy campus, but unfortunately not, I was hardly inside. I am here to say how I felt to be 20 feet within the campus.

I have heard that the campus at Mysore is great and state of the art, I thought I had an opportunity, but we felt like we were treated like citizens visiting from other country. It was like being at the airport providing ID proof, photo...all the same items to 4 different people. In the airport we are sure we are taken off in the the plane, but here we are sent back, I least expected a trip around the place which calls itself “State of the Art”. So, parents only two of you accompany your kid, others have to be stuck outside the gate, it’s a pity.

We got to know more information of this place by the coconut vendor who sits across the street, while we were unable to go inside and witness it. Only the Employee is allowed!!!!

Nothing for a 3 hrs journey to Mysore!!!

The Beauty of Dubai

I should say that it was my best vacation ever. I needed a break from the 2 years of hard work that I was in. Dubai was an unpredicted destination. It was all of a sudden, my parent's well wisher had the visa ready and I had the tickets ready in a very short notice. It is two weeks that I am done with the trip and still every day of the trip to me is a wonder by itself. I should give the credit to Emirates who made my journey the best. We got to visit lots of places in the 5 days stay. If you google i am sure you will find about Dubai...i am not going to pen down what i saw but something very ignorable to the citizen on UAE, bit surprising to an Indian.

I felt good about
  • The tidy streets in Dubai is so surprising to me. I cannot think of one main road in Bangalore as best as their "galli" roads, you can expect the level in which the main roads are.
  • The lane discipline followed and the parking process which is adhered to.
  • No clothes hung out of the house on the main streets.
  • No stones/gravel , poles on the road.
  • No banners hung of politicians
  • Not a single road dug during the day time.
  • No construction workers on the road
  • Not  a single street light off at night
  • Their fish market - not one fly alive around, only sea gulls flying.
  • Best kerala recipe hotels
  • The various colored flowers that are grown beside the footpath ( In bangalore I can only imagine dogs sleeping on footpath or bikers riding on footpath without allowing the pedestrian to walk)
  • The cold dessert sand
  • The arabic dance by the men, their dance along with hand movement involves circling at the same position should be more than 300 times.
  • Large parks where picnics can happen..
  • The importance they give to the disabled.
  • Only beautiful eyes of ladies visible which tells a lot about their beauty.
  • Standing in front of the tallest building in the world - Burj Kalifa
  • Seeing all the latest cars which I would never seen before, i even saw a Limo
  • Ferarri racing cars....i never knew they were so loud.
  • shopping at the  dubai shopping festival area...lucky that it was not entirely closed
What I was uneasy about the country was
They tried to get nature artificially, their beaches are so clean and tidy and yet there is no waves. Their water is so clean and hygienic yet not natural, understand that it is the processed ocen water.

I think that there is lot to learn for them for a country like India, they allways wants the best and be the best, which has resulted in the best out of them and we can understand why our situation is like this.

I dedicate this blog to the family we stayed with without whom this wonder would have never have happened.

The satisfying fact is that I can stikeout one of my wishlist I had for 2013 i.e to take my parents on a lavish trip which they truly deserve and I bet they have enjoyed each bit of it.
