Rainy Day

Rarely do I have the opportunity to stand right in front of the rain (i.e without drenching) , just getting a feel as to how tough could this natural gift (for some its a curse) could be. Now I can tell that natural disasters cannot be challenged, we are too small to even think that one could survive the fierce rush of the rain.
I could not hear my friend speak to me, at one point I thought that the roof is going to fly away. It’s obvious that the higher you are its easier for the wind to take you with its flow.I was so dumbstruck that I wanted to catch it on my camera. Somehow I have become attached to my mobile, I seem to utilize it more as a camera than the basis communication use.
I remebered by Son at this moment and recalled that when its raining, the rhyme that he sings is
Rain Rain Go Away, Come Again Another day
Little Jonny want to play, Rain Rain go away" - Makes me smile

Hiding Beauty

Should Beauty be hidden? I don’t think so. It’s something that one has to proud about.

When there are many ladies around the world (including myself) finding remedy to have wonderful long hair, there is another set of people who want to cover it. ( I am only commenting on my friend. Any body reading this do not be offended). I always have an argument with her on the reason that she gives me for covering her beautiful hair and I am not convinced by it, neither will ever be convinced. But it’s her decision, so accept it and respect it.

Earlier last week I caught her in the restroom taking care of the long hair that she never discloses in the office. I took that opportunity to capture it on camera. I did capture it and she looked pretty. I am sure that she was happy to see it as well. No body on the floor would have seen her in this fashion and I take this opportunity to upload a faint snap of it. Not projecting the actual snap as she does not permit me to.

Timepass in Office!!!

Today is Good Friday and its a Holiday for most of them even the clients that we are working for, but unfortunately its not a holiday for our company. So, thought of doing some time pass. First, started to explore the net, found nothing interesting, then I thought of reading a novel, that does not look ethical in a working environment, then I thought of drawing. I do not do much of drawing, but I do know to scribble with pencil. I took a fresh pencil and started to look around as to what I should start to scribble ..there..i found right in front of me my son's photo. Thought I would just share with all my drawing skills.

Strange Feeling..

It’s a co-incidence, today that after settling at my desk in office, I find my colleague keeping sweet box at my neighbour's desk telling her to inform the floor about him becoming a father and he wants to share his happiness with everyone. Before I could congratulate, I received a call from my Mom who gave a shocking news. A 3 year old girl (who was our neighbour 6 months back...now that we have shifted) passed away. My shock was very intense as I had visited the girl at the hospital yesterday and she seemed fine. Obviously she was looking pale, but not like death was round the corner to gulp her.

I had witnessed two extremes of what we call LIFE. Where in one seems to be a joyous occasion and other seems to be a never ending suffering. Our feeling for both these situation is overwhelming in its own way. We need to accept the Truth – Death is as real as Birth. If birth is taken for granted, so should death be. If birth is taken happily so should death be. But since we are human and not the enlightened being its difficult to be like that.

My take on - to avoid being painful from departure (which is the ultimate truth) - Never get attached. Never get bonded to any material or person. May be this will help to reduce the pain.

I am still not able to come to terms about accepting that she is no more, that I will not be able to see her ever again. It is a very nasty punishment from God to take such a beautiful life that he created, but I believe that God plans everything for Good and it will take time to understand that. Time will tell.

I mourn on her departure and here is a note that my brother just jotted down as he was so upset by this unfortunate happening.

Nothing is running in my head dear..... i don't know....i am feeling very low...

What did that kid do so wrong?
Is it, because she threw her doll?
Throw a tantrum for very long
Or she ran instead of taking a stroll

Innocent was the sweet face
Scared to approach strangers
With her mumma, at every place
No one knew of the oncoming dangers

She did not know what came next
Played all the time to her content
Mother gave all the love to her best
Took her away the lord, no precedent

Shattered is the home, with no laughter
Shattered is the heart, of the mother
Hope keeps all of them alive, after disaster
Hope keeps all of them, waiting for her brother

Note: To all the readers from Bangalore – She was admitted in Sagar Apollo Hospital and treated by a famous Pediatrician who is related to Mr. Benkappa. Please don’t risk putting any of your loved ones there. This is my personal opinion.

Good News for all who are working..

Here is an article I read, I hope all the managers read's this as well

Melbourne: Caught Twittering or on Facebook at work? It’ll make you a better employee, according to an Australian study that shows surfing the Internet for fun during office hours increases productivity.
The University of Melbourne study showed that people who use the Internet for personal reasons at work are about 9% more productive that those who do not.
Study author Brent Coker, from the department of management and marketing, “workplace Internet leisure browsing”, or WILB, helped to sharpened workers’ concentration.
“People need to zone out for a bit to get back their concentration,” Coker said on the university’s website (www.unimelb.edu.au/).
“Short and unobtrusive breaks, such as a quick surf of the Internet, enables the mind to rest itself, leading to a higher total net concentration for a days’ work, and as a result, increased productivity,” he said.
According to the study of 300 workers, 70% of people who use the Internet at work engage in WILB.
Among the most popular WILB activities are searching for information about products, reading online news sites, playing online games and watching videos on YouTube.
”Firms spend millions on software to block their employees from watching videos, using social networking sites or shopping online under the pretence that it costs millions in lost productivity,” said Coker. ”That’s not always the case.”
However, Coker said the study looked at people who browsed in moderation, or were on the Internet for less than 20% of their total time in the office.
“Those who behave with Internet addiction tendencies will have a lower productivity than those without,” he said.

Arab Ladies Need help

I recently happened to read the Book "The Princess". The pictures that flashed to me when I saw this book was that it could be the story of some lavish lady who wants to outrageously flaunt of her belongings and the way in which she manages her life and her fame. But when I read the lines mentioned behind the book I was elucidated on the fact that this book was related to the dark sides of her life that she is dwelling with until today. In fact she is anonymous and she has taken her friend's help to put across her words through her writing. Democracy of Speech that we all take for granted is forbidden for her, actually according to her its each girl/lady/women in her community.
Curious about understanding what circumstance a 'Princess' underwent I decided to borrow the book. Its the first book that I completed in 3 days. I was completely moved by reading the book. I felt that my feeling moved for all the ladies that was referred in that book. Do you know that driving a car by a lady could lead to a punishment as getting killed by stoning. And when such ill-fated 'shows' happen the whole community witness this. Very afflicting. Following are the some of the horrifying points that I came across which we just have not thought about it as a privilege.
1. Not to be physically present when ones father or brother around.
2. Ladies to be in a different floor when men are also staying in the same house.
3. Not to show ones face in her own house if other men come in.
4. Will not know who she will be marrying to.
5. 13 years old can marry an 60 years old man.
6. Ladies to be completely veiled when they go out after they see their first blood.
7. One has to be scared of ones own male workers, as they could object to the attitude of the ladies owner.
8. A man could have more that 4 wife's.
9. The ladies are not supposed to drive a vehicle.
10. The ladies should always be escorted by a man
11. The ladies do not have access to their passport.
12. Ladies should provide permission letter from their husband/father to the airport authorities if they need to travel.
13. Ladies are not supposed to marry an outsider.
14. Men of the house declare the punishment. It could be like drowning the girl in the swimming pool, lock the lady in the 4 walled room, amputate her ears and nose..these are which I have heard.
These are the few points that Iremember.
After reading the book my thought was on how I could help my fellow female human beings. I being is southern Asia, I have literally no idea as to what means I could help. But as the 'Princess" has a friend to write the book for her, I thought I could put across the suffering of the womanhood of the Arabs in my own way so the word spreads and someone who is destined would go to help them. I pray the Lord that they believe in to help them.
